Template Freebie #11

I'm still basking in the glory of finishing up my photo book, so I haven't been working much on scrapping these last few days. The boys have baseball on Monday and Tuesday nights, so I'm planning on getting back on the scrap wagon on Wednesday.

But I did manage to make you another template. It's from the circle of life layout I made with Natalie's Place Designs 'Jungle Party' kit. Here is the layout:

And here is the template! Enjoy!

Done With My Layouts So Here's Template Freebie #10

The layouts are DONE!!  I did it!!  If you've been following along these last few days, you've read that I'm finishing up my June 2009 Disney photo book.  I had one layout to go and a revamp of Crystal Palace.  Now that the layouts are done, I'm going to spend the day proof reading all my journalling.  A very important job before you print, but such a boring job too.  Maybe a hot cup of coffee will make it all better!  Then it's lots of uploading to Shutterfly and loading up the photobook.

Here are the last 2 layouts for the book.  First is from the Mousescrappers Template Challenge.  Also my very last Star Wars layout!  Be honest -- you're all huge Star Wars fans now, aren't you??

And I made a second page for the lunch at Crystal Palace.  I had a Piglet page and a Tigger page, so it was either make another page for Pooh/Eeyore, or make one combined layout of all the characters.  I was getting pretty close to the 100 page limit on photobooks, so I created one new page instead of having 4 separate pages.

So with that, I am done talking about this photobook.  Next time, you'll be seeing my photobook and not just hearing about it.  To celebrate, I created another template for you.  This one was inspired by the Tiana layout I did a while back.

Your freebie template for today!  Enjoy!

We Are Getting Closer!!!

In my power scrapping mode, I got 3 more layouts done for the 2009 photo book.  Officially, I've got 1 more left, but as I was looking through my layouts, I want to redo my Crystal Palace character meal layout.  Which will probably end up being a 2-page layout.  But I'm feeling pretty good here that my photobook will get done before the month of September ends.

First layout is when the boys were on their pirate cruise at the Grand Floridian, I got some free time by myself, so I went to Magic Kingdom and shopped, took some pictures and wandered around.  I used 'Flitterific' by Kellybell Designs for this layout.

Next was a new ride we tried out because Andrew was finally tall enough to go on it.  A new favorite for us now -- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Last was the Jungle Cruise ride which is Andrew's favorite.  This one used some simple elements from Mouse House Digi Scrapping (who sadly is not making Disney freebies any more).

I'll have to be honest and say that it's always good to have a deadline because it really motivates you to focus and get your layouts done.  But also, I was a bit lazy on the last layout for Jungle Cruise, I could have put more elements on the page but I was getting tired.  So that's the good news, bad news side of it.

3 Layouts Done, 4 To Go

As I said, nothing like a good deadline to get you motivated.  I got 3 layouts done and am working on finishing up another one.  I've also been trying to organize the order of all my photo book pages.  So much to do!!  Here are some layouts to share:

First is our night at Downtown Disney where we went to build a lightsaber.  They boys loved that.  This layouts uses Natalie's Place Designs 'Well, Whatta Ya Know' kit.

Next is my title page.  I found a picture of us at all 4 theme parks.  I used Kellybell's 'Colorful Kingdom' kit and her fabulous 'Theme Park Titles' for the wordart.

Last was our pictures in front of the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom.  This layout used Natalie's Place Designs 'Gettin Wild' kit.

The countdown now is officially 4 layouts to go!!

Oh No, Two Weeks Left!

Nothing gets your butt in gear like a fast approaching deadline.  Shutterfly sent me an email saying my free coupon for an 8x8 Photo Book expires on Sept 30.  YIKES!  I wanted to use that coupon for my June 2009 Disney trip, so it looks like I now have a mission.  So I have 11 days to finish up 7 more layouts.  Then upload all the pages into Shutterfly, prep them and organize them into the Photo Book.  Like I said, a deadline gets me motivated!!

So, I quickly tried to research how to prep the pages for a Shutterfly book and stumbled across a great set of video tutorials about creating a Photo Book from digitial scrap pages.  Check out these tutorials, they're awesome:  Scrapper's Guide.

Here's 2 layouts I did yesterday.  No more dilly dallying around, I'll be cranking out some layouts this week!

11 days, 7 layouts and a whole lotta Shutterfly stuff to do.  Better get busy!  Wish me luck!!

A Few Layouts and Template Freebie #9

For the last several days, I've been busy getting ready for a city-wide children's consignment sale.  I've been cleaning out the boys closets and dressers and toy boxes, gathering up old toys and clothes.  A mom's group hosts this every year and it's a great way to clean out your old stuff and get back a little money.  I put all my money in an envelope and save it for our Disney trip!!  So I've been very busy getting everything prepared to drop off tomorrow morning.  I did manage to get in just a couple of layouts to share with you.  This one was for the Mousescrappers Weekly Challenge:

Then I scrapped the Photopass special add-in pictures where the boys are fighting Darth Vader.

And finally, last week's Mousescrappers Weekly Challenge.  All the layouts were from Star Wars Weekends.

It always seems like I want to put tons of pictures of each layout.  On our April trip this year, I took over 1000 pictures over 9 days!!  So that's a TON of pages that I'll be scrapping once I finish my June 2009 Disney book, so I am all for template with lots of pictures.  My layout for Kellybell's 'Sign Here' kit inspired me to create a template for you.  I know that lots of you like to scrap multi-photo pages too!!

Here your template freebie.  Enjoy!

What A Blast From Natalie's Place Designs

How can you not get excited about fireworks??  Aaaahhh!   Ooooohhhh!  Fourth of July, New Years, football games, Disney Wishes!!  So colorful and thrilling.  Now for scrapping all that breathtaking excitement, you'll need 'What A Blast' from Natalie's Place Designs.  She's included lots of colorful fireworks bursts and sprays.

You can find Natalie's kits and freebie HERE on her blog.  My layouts feature the fireworks from Disney Wishes.  We've only seen them once because my boys don't stay up that late.  At Disney, we start each day extra early, so trying to stay up until 10pm is hard for them!  Here is my 2-page layout.

And for your freebie gift today, I have a sparkly frame and word art.  Enjoy!
