Template Freebie #18 and Mousescrappers Template Challenge #19

Whoa!  What a mind blowing last 2 days!!  Thanksgiving was a wonderful day for my family.  My turkey cooked all golden brown and tender and my coconut cream pie just rocked!  And as of late last night, it is all GONE!  Very yummy!!  Then there was Black Friday -- did you get any good deals?  I am not a Black Friday shopper, I just don't like fighting the crowds.  I did however, snag a few good deals on scrap kits!  I can get into saving 50% on kits and getting $1 deals!!

For us, the Friday after Thanksgiving means all the Christmas decorations need to come out of storage.  We got all the lights up outside, including a 7foot inflatable snowman and santa.  I got our white tree decorated with all blue ornaments upstairs.  And today I will finish our big tree downstairs.  It has all red & white ornaments that I've collected over the years.

Today, I have 2 templates for you.  First is a layout of our meeting with JoJo using Kellybell's 'All Star Resorts' kit.  I was trying out some paper blocking that I've seen a lot of lately.

And here is your template freebie #18:

I am also hosting the Mousescrappers Template Challenge starting today.  I'm using the layout I made for Cape May Cafe with Natalie's 'Fun With Fossils' kit.  I love the circle photos against the square background.  Here is the layout for inspiration.

You can download the template below and then post your layout at the Mousescrappers Template Challenge HERE.  Let me see what you can do!!  Hope you enjoy your double dose of templates today!!

Happy Thanksgiving and Template Freebie #17

It's the day before Thanksgiving.  Hope that your families are on their way and that your turkey is defrosting.  I'll be starting early tomorrow, getting the turkey ready and making coconut cream pie.  All yummy!!  The boys finished up school yesterday.  Matthew had the 2nd grade Turkey Play -- he was a pilgram.  Andrew's kindergarten class also made pilgram and indian costumes.  So I had 2 pilgrams yesterday!!

I have a new template for you today.  I made this layout for the Mousescrappers speed scrap a week ago.  Experimenting a little more with scalloped edges.

I liked the big circle behind the large photo.  And here is your template.  I'd like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving holiday and a wonderful weekend with your family and friends.  Enjoy!!

It's dino time!!  Time to scrap all your trips to the dinosaur museum, visits to the dino dig, and summer camp adventures with fossils.  Natalie's Place Designs announces another fabulous new kit called 'Fun With Fossils'.  It's filled with lots of colorful papers, dinosaurs, bones, shovels and swirls.  Take a look:

My boys had lots of fun at DinoLand in Animal Kingdom.  We rode triceratops spin and played in the boneyard.  Plus we met Goofy and Pluto there.  There's a fun red car cutout that you can take pictures at, my boys loved to pretend they were driving the car.  I loved the colors in this kit and the sandy paper was just perfect for Cape May Cafe, so that was my second layout.  I find that Natalie's kits are so versatile that I can use them for many different types of layouts.

My freebie for you is a dino fun word art and a dinosaur page border.  Hope this helps with your dinosaur pages.  Enjoy!

This kit was so much fun to scrap with and so versatile too.  I've been wanting to scrap our Kilamanjaro Safari ride pictures but just never got around to it.  So this kit got me motivated because it was perfect with all the animal print papers, the safari jeep element and the stamp.  Here's the 2-page layout I made:

Template Freebie #16

So, Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is fast approaching and all the Christmas decorations are in the stores.  Are you feeling behind yet?  I know I feel that way!  I need to get a photo of my 2 boys to use for our Christmas card, still need to plan our thanksgiving meal and get organized about what to buy the boys for christmas this year.  So much to do for the holidays!!  But I will say that Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.  We get our tree up the day after thanksgiving along with all the outdoor christmas lights and the inside decorations.  Then start right away with all the christmas music.  You gotta start early!!

My scrapping has slowed down a bit, but I have a few templates that I've got planned for you.  So let me get right to it today.  I scrapped our meeting with Thumper and Miss Bunny and just loved all the colors.  So that was my inspiration for the next template.  Plus I've finally gotten around to experimenting with brushes.  I've been wanting to do some scallop borders and frames on my layouts.

And here it is!!  Enjoy!

Challenge Layouts and Template Freebie #15

I have some Mousescrapper layouts to share with you.  I absolutely loved Natalie's template challenge, it's a fabulous mickey head template.  Check it out HERE.  This is the layout I made with her template.

I used Natalie's Place Designs 'Gettin Wild' for both layouts.  I guess I had an Animal Kingdom theme going these last few days.  Paula from Pixiepics & Scraps hosted the Mousescrappers Speed Scrap challenge this morning.  It was a hard one with lots of detailed instructions.  You had to use 1 shape for your photos (mine was rectangles) and another shape for all your mats underneath (I tried circles).  Funny that it ended up looking like mouse ears!!  Here's my attempt:

And I worked on another template for you.  Here was the layout inspiration:

And here is the template.  Hard to believe I've done 15 templates already.  Hope you are using them.  Enjoy!
