Template Twosome - Freebie Templates 36 & 37

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  We're not Irish so this is a holiday that we pretty much just skip right over.  This week is our Spring Break week and we stayed at home to get some yard work done.  Our dog had pretty much eaten and pulled up every shrub in the flower beds.  He's a Saint Bernard and just bored.  Thankfully he's not a puppy anymore, so we used this week off as a chance to replant all the shrubs.  I'm so glad spring has finally arrived!  It's nice to see the grass finally growing!!

I've got a template twosome for you today.  This layout was from Natalie's Place Designs' 'Reflection' kit.  I liked all the paper strips.

And this is now Template #36.

This layout was from a Mousescrappers scraplift challenge using Brittish Designs 'Animal Kingdom' kit.  I've always wanted to do a layout with some broken circles, now you can too!

Quest For Adventure From Natalie's Place Designs

Natalie's got another fabulous kit that's a must-have for your scrapping inventory!  It's called 'Quest For Adventure'.  It's perfect for scrapping your trips to the zoo, nature hikes and safari expeditions.  There's several animal print papers, a fun safari hat and lots of jungle animals.  You're just going to love it!  Head over to Natalie's Place Designs to pick up her kit and grab her gorgeous freebie.

I had lots of fun working with this kit.  The paper colors are bold and vivid and the textures were fabulous!  My favorite element is the large orange flower - it was gorgeous.  My first layout is all the giraffes we saw on the Kilamanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.  My second layout is one that I've wanted to do for a while.  I've always wanted to scrap the warthog picture with a title of "Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful".  This kit got me motivated to do just that.

Natalie has a new addition to her Creative Team -- Sandy!  She's a very warm and wonderful person and highly creative.  She just joined the team today and will be sharing her layouts and freebies from now on.  Mark your favorites with her blog site, Sand & 2 Pearls, because she'll be offering some freebies in the future.

I created 2 freebies for you today - a safari word art and frame.  Make sure to stop by Lisa Campbell Designs and Cynthia ... Forever Young to check out their amazing layouts and grab their freebies.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!

Some Challenge Layouts and Template Freebie #35

I'm falling behind on my weekly challenges at Mousescrappers, so I'm trying to catch up a little bit.  Matthew has been sick with the flu this week and home from school.  Maybe he'll be able to head back to school on Thursday.  Since I've been home, I'm scrapping more, so here we go!

Here are 2 layouts from the Scraplift Challenge.  The host provides the layout and we all scraplift our own version of it.

This one was from the Weekly Challenge which had you scrap something to do with transportation.  The best I could come up with was the dining car from Sci-Fi, one of Matthew's favorite places to eat at Disney.

And last was the Template Challenge where I scrapped our meeting with Shrek and Donkey at Universal Studios.  Make sure you check out all the new challenges over at Mousescrappers.  The community is really growing strong!!

One of the many character meals we love is Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom.  Here is my 2 page layout.  One was using a template from Simply Yin, a fabulous template designer.  The second page will be your template freebie.

And here is template freebie #35.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!

PS.  I'm so frustrated with 4Shared today.  It has been so wonky!  I've uploaded numerous times, changed the file name, everything.  One minute the download works, next attempt it fails.  4Shared has now forced by to set up an account at Media Fire.  I'll give them a try for a while.  My apologies to those who've come to download and gotten an error message.  Sorry for that.

Speed Scrap Layout and Template Freebie #34

For Valentine's Day in my son's kindergarten class, we were asked to mail in a valentine from a secret admirer.  So I found a card with a dog wearing sunglasses and the title 'Sup Dog?'.  It was a music card that played "Who Let The Dogs Out" song when you opened the card.  I signed it "Woof, Woof, Lick, Lick".  We were supposed to give them a hint of who it might be from (sent from our 2 dogs).  Of course, Andrew just loved it and still thinks that the dogs actually mailed it.  Since that day, we all greet each other as "Sup Mom?', "Sup Andrew!".  Followed by lots of laughter.

In that spirit, here is my Goofy layout from the Mousescrappers Speed Scrap last week which I turned into a template for you.

Here is your template freebie #34.  Enjoy and happy scrapping.
