Animating Our World From Natalie's Place Designs

Natalie's got a great new kit out today called 'Animating Our World'.  It's a fun collection of drawing tools with pencils, pens, rulers, protractor, eraser and straight edge.  Perfect for scrapping the budding artist in your house or your drawing experience at the Animator's Workshop.  The red, turquoise and black are great set of colors to scrap Mickey Mouse.  Natalie's also included a few grey papers and comic book backgrounds.  It's such a fun kit!!

I thought the color scheme was very flexible to scrap several different sets of pictures.  The alpha is a dice cube and so fun to string titles together.

I always wonder what to do with pictures that didn't turn out just right.  Most times my boys are very cooperative with me taking so many pictures of them.  But sometimes, they are just too tired and not interested.  Poor Andrew was getting tired here.  While he got into the pose, he pretended to be asleep in protest.  His brother behind him was pretending to be Russell from the UP movie swinging from the garden hose.  So in the end, the picture looks like an older brother trying to hang his younger brother.  Oh well...

I had too much fun clustering all those cool drawing tools together.  So that's what I'm offering today as my freebie gift to you.  Take a visit to Natalie's Blog to check out this kit and grab her freebie!!  And stop by Cynthia's Blog, Lisa's Blog, and Sandy's Blog to check out their freebie's.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!

What's On Sale At Natalie's Place Designs??

Natalie is starting a new page on her blog to advertising what's on sale.  It will change each week so make sure you check it often.  Savings on her kits will be up to 50% off.  Stop by her Natalie's blog now to check out the sales.  You don't want to miss this!!

How did you get into Digital Scrapbooking?
When my first son Matthew was born, I started into paper scrapping. I loved recording all the exciting memories of the first year of his life. But paper scrapping needs so many supplies and takes up a lot of space. I just happened to stumble into digital scrapping about 1.5 years ago. I was hooked! I couldn’t believe how amazing the digital layouts looked! I found Mousescrappers and started scrapping Disney trips first. I’m constantly amazed at the enormous amount of tutorials, freebies and helpful advice there is about digital scrapping. I scrap with PSE7.0 and feel I still have lots of learn.

What brought you to Kellybell Designs?
I’ve been a follower of Kelly for quite some time, way back when she was a designer at Creative DISigns at DISboards. I used several of her designs for t-shirts for our Disney trips. When she started creating Disney scrapbook kits and quick pages, I was truly amazed at her new digital talents. Then she started a creative team and I knew I wanted to become a part of that team. That was back in June 2010 and I’ve loved every minute since! Not only is Kelly a talented designer, but she’s also a wonderfully warm and sweet person. I deeply respect her talents, but also treasure her friendship and guidance.

What has been your best moment as a member of Kelly's Team?
The best moment was getting to scrap my very first kit as a CT member for Kelly. I was super thrilled but totally nervous because I wanted to do a good job for her. I truly believe that Kelly’s team has a very unique group of gals. It’s rare to find a group of women that are so supportive and encouraging of each other. We learn from each other and laugh/cry about life’s daily highlights and struggles. I feel blessed to be part of such an amazing team!

In addition to being a member of the team .. tell us a little about you.
Our family lives in Austin, Texas and we certainly enjoy all the warm weather here. I’m a stay-at-home mom to 2 boys ages 6 and 8 who are the source of all my photos. I’m definitely a boys mom, playing baseball and football along with sword fighting and lightsaber battles. And I’m a huge fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Jack Sparrow. Honestly, I don’t have much of a choice there! We’ve got 2 big dogs in the house, a yellow lab and a saint bernard. I’ve had dogs all my life, the bigger the better for me. Digital scrapping is a great creative release for me. It’s a hobby that never gets boring. Probably the only other thing I do just for me is exercising. I’m pretty good at getting to the gym and running.

What is by far your favorite kit here at Kellybell Designs?
That’s just way too hard to answer!! I love Walk The Plank because it’s such a great kit for boys! Then I mix and match from Modern Magic and Expedition Safari over and over again. The papers and textures in those 2 kits are outstanding!

Will you share with us you 1st LO you made as a Kellybell CT member?
The first kit I used was ‘Fairest In The Land’. I loved the rich colors and deep textures in this kit. This was my first layout and the Stitch wordart title was the first ever freebie I made! While this kit was targeted at Snow White layouts, the colors also blended well with Stitch. So right from the start, I found Kelly’s kits to be very versatile.

How about sharing a few of your favorite pages that you've made with Kellybell kits??

Today, I get the honor of creating your exclusive freebie.  I took the sentimental route and went back to my very first kit with Kelly called 'Fairest In The Land'.  Such a beautiful kit!!  And it has wonderful memories for me.  And now, here is your freebie frame!  Enjoy and happy scrapping

Here's Your Rock N Roll Fun!!

Natalie's got a super charged, high energy kit today called 'Rock Star'.  Originally inspired by the Rock N Roller Coaster ride at Hollywood Studios, it's filled with lots of musical elements, neon accents, grunge papers, flames and 2 amazing alphas.  There are so many great uses for this kit!

Natalie filled this kit with a great selection of red, black and grey papers.  They were a perfect match for scrapping Lightning McQueen.  And I loved that cadillac element which was the reason I chose to scrap the car in our Back To The Future photo.

Hurry on over to Natalie's Blog to grab this kit and her wonderful freebies.  You can also stop by the CT gals blog to pick up their goodies as well.  We always have a blast making freebies for you.  I hope you are enjoying them.

I made a Rock N Roll word art cluster for you.  Love to see it as a title for one of your pages.  Enjoy and happy scrapping.

Do We Have A Date?

Seven days in a week, 12 months in a year. They're all just a bunch of numbers. Except when something important happens on that day that you want to capture with photos and document with your journaling. Adding a date to a layout is sometimes overlooked or just quickly scribbled in the bottom corner. Dating a layout is a critical piece to telling your scrapping story. When you have a fun way to date your page, then adding a date becomes much easier to do!

Today Kelly is releasing 3 more date kits that give you some unique ways to add a time stamp to your layouts.

Kelly's Creative Team has been having fun mixing and matching from several of Kelly's kits and then adding our dates with these awesome new kits. Here's what we've come up with.  I scrapped 2 fabulous character meals at Disney.  First is Donald's Safari Breakfast.  Second is Crystal Palace.  Both are must-do dining places for use every trip!

Make sure you head over to Kellybell's Store to grab these new date elements while they are on sale this weekend only. While you're at the store browsing around, you can take a look at the existing date kits that Kelly has for sale.

Looking at the kits, you might be wondering where Simple Dates - Volume 1 is?? Well, that kit got retired into the vault. Hopefully you picked it up when it was on sale a while back. Don't miss out on these kits or any other of Kelly's goodies.... you never know what may go in the vault next time she cleans house!!  Head over to Kellybell's Store and do some shopping. OK? Then it's a date!!

Boom Pow! From Kellybell Designs

Oooh! Aaah! Isn't that what we always say when we're watching fireworks? They're just so mesmorizing and colorful. Whether it's Fourth of July, New Year's Eve, the Super Bowl or Disney, fireworks are just plain cool!! And Disney certainly knows how to throw a great fireworks party. Wishes at Magic Kingdom has been delighting millions since it debuted to the public on October 9, 2003. With over 1,200 fireworks shooting off each night, that's a lotta Oohs and Aahs! Today, Kelly has a new kit that captures all those magical sparkles called...

Boom Pow!

'Boom Pow!' was inspired by the elaborate Disney firework shows. This kit has all the essentials for scrapping the perfect fireworks layout. First, there's 3 large fireworks bursts, lots of stars and swirls, and several coordinating flowers and ribbons. Next, Kelly's added 4 adorable square flairs, some cool sparkles and splats, and much more. There's 15 papers in a mix of turquoise, pink and black along with a few glittery papers for that extra sparkle. And lastly, a silver metallic full alpha.

To compliment this kit, Kelly has a matching set of 6 word art sayings. Great titles, don't you think?

As you know, Kelly puts her new release kits on sale for the weekend. So make sure you stop by Kelly's Store to grab the 'Boom Pow!' kit and word art pack for 25% off.

This kit is fabulous for scrapping lots of great pages. Here's my layout for some inspiration.

Now the fun part! Hop around to Kelly and her team's blogs to grab some wonderful goodies! Leave some love and have fun scrapping!

And here's my freebie for you today.  A fabulous frame with lots of clustering already done for you.  Just pop in some pictures and you've got half the layout already done!

Kellybell Designs NSD Sale

In honor of National Scrapbook Day, Kellybell Designs is having a 25% off sale from Friday 5/6 to Sunday 5/8.  Start planning now which kits you'll want to buy!

Give A Little Whistle!!

Natalie's got another adorable kit for you today inspired by Jiminy Cricket and Germany.  The colors are so deep and rich.  I always love her paper textures!  We visited Rafiki's Planet Watch for the first time last year at Disney.  Rode the train over and got to see Jiminy Cricket.  He's a pretty cool character!  Here he is.

And she's added some elements perfect for Germany too.  The gorgous yellow and reds matched well with the brick and stucco structures for that country.  Here's my Germany page (gorgeous photo courtesy of Mark Barbieri).

Are you ready to see the kit now?  Natalie's filled it with a great collection of elements.  To match Jiminy Cricket, she's got a blue hat, umbrella, spectacles, pixie dust, cricket, matchbook, and magnifying glass.  For Germany, she's got a beer mug, pretzel, accordian, and cuckoo clock.  This really is such a fun kit!  Check it out.

So head on over to Natalie's blog to grab this kit and her 'Give A Little Whistle' freebie.

For your freebie today, I've got a Germany word art title.  Great for visits to Epcot or the actual country itself.  And Natalie's team has some goodies for you.  Stop by Cynthia's blog, Lisa's blog, and Sandy's blog.
